Construction
This birdhouse is made with
premium cedar. Cedar has excellent
insulating properties and is
naturally durable. It is

from mellow ambers, reddish cinnamons and rich

Designed Specifically for the
Chickadee
All of BetterBird's products are designed for
certain bird types. This birdhouse is
designed for the chickadee. It
has 1-1/8” diameter hole for the chickadee to
enter the birdhouse and nest. The 1-1/8"
hole is too small for predators including
the starling and sparrow, so they
cannot approach the nest. The sloped
roof with the overhang, combined with the
predator guard, will minimize predators by
keeping out the arm of raccoons, cats and
squirrels.
Where To Hang The
Birdhouse
Ideally, it should be
hung in a partially shaded area that does not
have too much activity. In a hot
environment, the opening should be facing North
or East which will help to minimize the
afternoon heat.
It should be hung
between 6 and 15 feet above ground.
Birdhouse Will
Protect the Birds' Eggs
This model has two ventilation holes that
will help regulate the temperature inside. The
sloped roof, the overhang, and the
drainage slots will protect the birds' eggs and
nest by preventing water from pooling on
the bottom. The grooved slots on the inside of
the entrance will make it easier for the
nestlings to climb out when the time
comes.

Guard
This model includes a predator guard on
the entrance of the house. The predator
guard will offer much needed protection for the
nest by protecting the baby birds and
eggs. It will keep raccoons,
squirrels and predatory birds away from the
nest.

Clean
When it comes time to clean it out,

access. Simply turn the latch and the
front cover will open to remove the old
nest.
