This birdhouse is constructed with Cedar.
Cedar has excellent insulating properties, is
naturally durable, and is
resistant to moisture, decay and insect
damage. It has a pleasant and unmistakeable
aroma. Unfinished cedar
has a richly textured grain with colors ranging
from mellow ambers, reddish cinnamons and rich
sienna browns. These qualities
make each birdhouse unique and one of a

Designed Specifically for the
Chickadee
Designed specifically for the
chickadee, this birdhouse has 1-1/8”
diameter hole to entice the chickadee to
nest. The 1-1/8" hole is too small
for predators to enter, such as the starling
and sparrow, and will prevent these predators
from approaching the nest. The sloped
roof with the overhang, will minimize predators
by keeping out the arm of raccoons, cats and
squirrels.
We highly recommend that you install the
Predator
Guard to this birdhouse for extra
protection for the nest.
Where To Hang The
Birdhouse
Ideally, the Ultimate
Chickadee Birdhouse should be hung in a
partially shaded area that does not have too
much activity. In a hot environment, the
opening of the birdhouse should be facing North
or East, which will help to minimize the
afternoon heat.
This birdhouse should be
hung between 6 and 15 feet above ground.
